The Band competed at Strabane in the BBL Spring Festival.  The band played their "Own Choice" Test piece Oceans by Goff Richards. 

The band achieved 1st place in the Second Section. The band has only recently moved up into this grade and attaining this result is something everyone within the band where delighted about. 

 

The band would also like to congratulate Mr Jackie Moore on receiving the Soloist award for the Second Section, Mr Ernie Ruddock on the Conductors Award and all the members of the band that played a solo within the testpiece.

 

We would also like to wish Des Graham all the best. Des has stepped down from the conductor of our friends at Third Carrick Silver Band and has been a great help to CWA Brass. Also a big congrats to Third Carrick on coming fifth in the Cahmpionship Section. This result has come for them after only a few contests in this grade.
